As the 2027 general elections draw near, several support groups from across the six geo-political zones of the country, have declared their total support for the presidential ambition of a former vice-presidential candidate of the Action Alliance, Dr. Johnson Emmanuel Chukwuka, who is now a member and stakeholder of the Action Democratic Party.
Arewa PUNCH gathered that the various groups who declared their unflinching support for Dr. Chukwuka include The Patriots Movement; New Direction for Nigeria Movement; and Voters Engagement for Coalition of Six Geopolitical Zone Group for Democratic Transparency in Nigeria, among others.
In separate interviews with Arewa PUNCH correspondent, leaders of the groups noted that the reason for their support was because of Dr. Johnson Emmanuel Chukwuka's impressive credentials in leadership and community service over the years.
They added that Dr. Chukwuka had continued to contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of the country even after joining the Action Democratic Party, from the Action Alliance, hence the reason for declaring their support for him to contest the 2027 presidential election.
During an interview with the Director General of The Patriot Movement, Sani Darma emphasised that Dr. Chukwuka is the ideal candidate to succeed President Bola Tinubu in 2027, considering the experiences he had garnered over the years in his career as a medical practitioner and politician.
Therefore, he described him as a political juggernaut who possesses the necessary qualities to lead the country to greater heights.
"The numerical strength of my group, The Patriots Movement, is about six million.
That is to say that we have no fewer than six million members across the country. We have all decided to support Dr. Johnson Emmanuel Chukwuka to become the next President of Nigeria in 2027 because we believe in his leadership capabilities.
"I have been with Dr. Johnson Emmanuel Chukwuka for more than 10 years. I know him very well in terms of his philanthropic activities, in terms of concerns about the country. He does not discriminate because of tribe, religion, or ethnic backgrounds. He is someone that always wants to discuss about how Nigeria can be better.
"Our group strongly believes that he has the capacity to bring solutions to our challenges and move Nigeria forward to greater heights, that is why we are supporting him, and we are hopeful that he will emerge victorious during the 2027 presidential election," he added.
On his part, the National Convener, New Direction for Nigeria Movement, Comrade Mark Adebayo, stressed that Dr. Chukwuka's approach to politics is one devoid of ethnic and religious considerations over the years.
He added that the presidential aspirant has repeatedly demonstrated a fair distribution of empowerment for the youths across all boards, faiths, and creeds, hence the reason the group is supporting him to emerge as Nigeria's President in 2027.
According to Adebayo, among the numerous aspirants who have so far declared intention for the 2027 presidency from the various political parties in the country, Dr. Johnson Emmanuel Chukwuka is the most experienced and qualified, going by his track records in politics over the years.
He said, "I am personally fascinated by his professional background. Being a surgeon, I believe that Nigeria requires a surgical operation to reset the country. This country needs total resetting. For me, the challenges that Nigeria faces now are beyond somebody who says 'oh I have capacity. I have integrity, I have this'. It is only a visionary leader who can fix this country.
"Nigerians must become deliberate in the way we elect our leaders, but they require a lot of political education to get to that threshold of political understanding. We believe that both the political parties and civil society must come together to educate Nigerians to know that we must be deliberate and intentional in who we bring to power as president, as governors, and as senators.
"From the local government level to the presidency, this is very important, and it takes a lot. So, a person like Dr. Johnson Emmanuel Chukwuka is the one person that we believe can really do well for this country."
Also speaking, the National Coordinator, Voters Engagement for Coalition of Six Geopolitical Zone Group for Democratic Transparency in Nigeria, Abdulmutalib Gambo Dauda noted that Dr. Chukwuka's exemplary leadership and unwavering dedication to the progress of Nigeria make him the ideal candidate for the esteemed position of president.
According to him, as a visionary leader, Dr. Chukwuka has consistently demonstrated remarkable prowess in leadership and community service, inspiring countless individuals and communities across the country.
He narrated that his tireless efforts to empower the youth, promote economic growth, and facilitate educational attainment for the less-privileged have earned him widespread recognition and admiration across the nation's six geo-political zones.
Our correspondent gathered further that Dr. Johnson Emmanuel Chukwuka, who is a Russian-trained Neurosurgeon and generally a friend of the Russians, has championed remarkable initiatives that have placed many young people in leadership positions, provided economic empowerment, and facilitated higher educational attainment.
Recently, while declaring his intention to contest for the 2027 Presidency, Dr. Johnson Emmanuel Chukwuka promised to provide employment for the youths, tackle the issues of insecurity, provide quality infrastructures across the country, improve healthcare standards, and ensure that Nigeria begins to enjoy rapid growth and development in all sectors of the nation's economy, if he is elected into office.
"If elected, I will use my vast knowledge of global politics to improve security in Nigeria and ensure economic development. I played a major role in bringing the Russian government to invest in the Ajaokuta steel project in 2019 and also in the Nigerian railway. I will do more if I am given the opportunity to serve the nation as president in 2027," he said.
Mrs. Juliet Isakwa, one of his numerous supporters across the country, noted that Dr. Chukwuka's leadership is characterised by integrity, transparency, and a clear vision for the development and progress of Nigeria.
"His experience in public service and politics has equipped him with the requisite skills, experience, and knowledge to lead the people of the country effectively.
"I am urging the leadership of the Action Democratic Party to consider Dr. Emmanuel Johnson Chukwuka as the main candidate, and give him the opportunity to represent the party during the 2027 Presidential election because I strongly believe in his popularity and I am optimistic that he will emerge victorious," she added.
Meanwhile, the Action Democratic Party has announced the official commencement of its nationwide online membership registration, a major step towards building a credible political alternative for Nigeria's future.
The digital registration platform, accessible via www.adp.ng, enables Nigerians across all states and in the diaspora to join the party in a transparent, efficient, and inclusive manner.
The initiative comes at a critical moment in Nigeria's history, as the country faces persistent economic challenges, rising insecurity, and growing concerns about national cohesion.
The ADP says its platform is designed to mobilise citizens who are ready to take responsibility for
rebuilding the nation.

Via the statement, he emphasised that the registration exercise represented more than a routine political activity.
"This is a national awakening. Nigerians are yearning for a credible alternative that delivers real economic growth, ensures security, and promotes unity. The ADP is providing that platform," he pointed out.
Sani highlighted that the party's vision is anchored on inclusive economic policies that generate jobs and productivity, a security framework that guarantees the protection of lives and property, and
governance built on fairness, justice, and accountability.
He maintained, "The online registration system has been carefully designed to remove barriers to participation by making membership accessible to Nigerians regardless of location. It also strengthens transparency through digital verification processes that enhance credibility.
"The ADP specifically called on Young Nigerians seeking opportunity; Entrepreneurs and professionals committed to economic recovery; Women and grassroots leaders advocating inclusive governance; Patriotic citizens across all regions and backgrounds to take advantage of the platform and join the movement."
According to the party, the registration exercise is a foundational step toward building a broad-based national consensus capable of driving long-term reforms.
The ADP national chairman further reiterated that meaningful change in Nigeria requires active citizen participation and collective commitment, adding that "The future of Nigeria can not be outsourced. It must be built by Nigerians themselves.
